This East and West Central Boroughs are both looking for a Senior Planning Officer with experience to work on a long-term contract.

As a Senior Planning Officer your main responsibilities will be to process major application, as well as to carry an appeal caseload and prepare statements setting out the Council’s case on appeal. Subject to experience, to appear as Council expert witness at Informal Hearings and Public Inquiries.

As a qualified planning officer you will need to have good knowledge of UK development control and be able to provide information, guidance and advice as required to councillors, applicants, developers and their agents, members of the public, local organisations, other Council departments and others on planning matters. Furthermore you will need to keep abreast with planning legislation.
