Job: Economic Development Project Manager - Business Growth, Nottingham City Council

Post Three - Business Growth

Temporary until March 2010

You will develop and deliver projects which seek to increase the levels of enterprise, particularly within our most disadvantaged communities, whilst ensuring an adequate supply of property for start up and growing businesses. You will also contribute to skills planning, ensuring that the labour market meets employers’ long term needs.

Experienced in economic development or related work, with a proven track record of effective delivery, you should have a knowledge of the issues preventing the growth of local businesses and of techniques for generating economic growth in the knowledge economy.  Experience in project management and an understanding of the requirements of external funding regimes is essential, as is a knowledge of strategic economic development.
