Senior Town Planner – London – Environmental Consultancy

£35000-£50000 + Full Bens

The Company:

Environmental Consultancy seen as one of the largest in the UK is actively looking for a qualified Town Planner with a broad range of skills but with specific knowledge of the Waste, Mineral and Renewable Energy sector. Ideally you will have experience dealing with projects that have had a high EIA slant and have covered areas such as Heritage, Housing, Retail and Conservation.

Applicants do not need to be a specialist but more a generalist who will be able to bring a different dimension to the team. Being an international company they are able to offer exciting opportunities for career progression as well as leading edge projects that are in the forefront of the public eye.

The Duties:

Covering all areas of the planning process this position will expect a high level of client contact both in the Public and Private sector. Work will offer great variety but will be based around Waste, Mineral and Renewable Energy as mentioned. You will liase with other planning teams across the company as well as working alongside specific environmental sections in order to offer a complete project solution.

Dependent on your experience you will be able to lead the projects offering guidance and expertise to other members of the team making sure that all planning applications and other documentation is to the correct standard. All work will be in line with the RTPI and will include new site work as well as re-development.

The Experience:

You will need to be experienced in Town Planning and ideally be holding your full RTPI membership. Experience in Waste, Mineral and Renewable Energy is required but knowledge of other sectors as mentioned would also be beneficial as projects will cover more than one discipline.
