Economic and Community Regeneration Town Centre Manager

Middlesbrough town centre is the retail, commercial and civic heart of the Tees Valley city region, a community of 890,000 within a half an hour drive time. The town is undergoing significant regeneration - from the iconic mima and Centre Square to the award winning Middlehaven development to public realm improvements and ambitious events-driven marketing to the innovative Digital City and Boho Zone.

The town centre now requires an experienced Town Centre Manager or similar professional with the vision, competence and drive to:

Work closely with stakeholders to secure progress towards the creation of a centre worthy of the city region
Act as the main advocate and champion for the centre
Shape and lead strategy
Attract new investment
Secure high operational standards
Lead a small professional team.

Town Centre Management Officer - Operations
£33,231 - £34,976 (Ref C818)

Middlesbrough has high ambitions for the quality of its town centre. It requires someone able to drive standards regarding the streetscene, cleanliness, car parking, crime and anti-social behaviour. Working closely with the Town Centre Manager, the post holder will respond to the aspirations of users and stakeholders and work with local authority services to create a town centre recognised for its high standards.
