A Planning Officer is required by this North London council to work on a career developing, long-term contract.

As an experienced Planning Officer your responsibilities will include assessing all types of planning and associated applications, including more complex applications. Also you will need to provide pre-application enquiries and carry out site visits as well as consulting with agents and stakeholders and assessing the acceptability of proposals and respond to written enquiries from members of the public, businesses and agencies.

You will need to have a good knowledge development control and planning regulations and the basic methods of operation they adopt. It is essential you maintain a high standard of ethics and support the work of Environment Direct in providing a quality service in all areas of contact with customers.
